Headboards lend a nice decorator touch any bedroom and often add
functional features like storage or lighting.
While many people use just a headboard to add style to their
room, most are offered in sets so you get a footboard, too. And yet
a few sets offer bed rails that connect to the headboard &
footboard, which also supports the foundation/box spring.
No matter which way you go, you can find headboards to set the
tone you are seeking with your bedroom and provide a refreshed
feeling to an outdated room with out spending too much.
Headboards come in different sizes that are matched to your
mattress size, so be sure to know what size your mattress is when

simply to very elaborate.
Along with style options, there are just as many options in the
materials the headboards are made from that range from delicate
woods in light tones to heavy and ornate dark woods with lots of
carvings. Or artistic metal designs and even a blend of metal and

Next to the style and color of finish, the scale of the bedroom
furniture is very important in creating the right balance of

Dothan, Alabama carries a bed set for your decorating needs. Most
styles are available in multiple sizes (Twin, Full, Queen, and King)
and most can be used as headboard only or as complete sets. Some

The Affinity Bed
The Affinity bed marries sloping curves with straight lines to
create a soft, yet strong, feel. Straight spindles, topped with
detailed castings, end at the distinct slope of the top rail, which
features a camelback curve above. This style is repeated in the
footboard, setting the scene for comfort. The deep color of the
Blackened Taupe finish provides a sophisticated, neutral backdrop
that will match your personal style and bedroom décor. The Affinity
is available as a complete bed and as a headboard only in Full,
Queen and King Sizes.
The Ardmore Bed
Rich-colored wood and simplistic design give the Ardmore Bed a
comfortable, contemporary feel. The Driftwood finish provides a
gorgeous neutral backdrop perfect for any style or color palette.
The slight dip at the top of the headboard and footboard contrasts
nicely with the straight-lined paneling below, making the Ardmore an
attractive and interesting piece that will serve as a focal point of
your bedroom for years to come. It is available in full queen and
king sizes and as a headboard only.
The Argyle Bed
The Argyle bed is named for the diamond pattern wire design
casted below the 54 ½” top rail of the headboard and just above the
bottom rail of the 31 ½” footboard. The grills are composed of five
sets of double spindles also casted together. There is a curved
piece of metal tube added to the bottom of the footboard which gives
a bit of additional flair to the design. The finish is called Copper
Chrome and is a mixture of copper and silver streaked with black
antiquing – which will allow the bed to coordinate with many types
of wood accessory pieces.
The Avery Bed
Simplicity of materials and design are accented by the horizontal
and vertical lines of the headboard and footboard of the Avery. The
Mission style of the Avery Bed began its popularity at the turn of
the 20th century. This classic style has stood the test of time.
Finished in an Oak stain, it has a clear lacquer coat for extra
protection of the wood and virtually maintenance free care. This
piece of furniture will be a symbol of the character of times gone
by and will be with you for years to come.
The Aynsley Bed
The whimsical scrollwork of the Aynsley bed gives it a light and
airy look. The lyrical sweep of the 59 3/8” headboard and matching
43 3/8” footboard are the perfect backdrop for your puffiest pillows
and softest comforter; a nurturing sanctuary in which you’ll want to
spend plenty of time. This lovely bed is available in Majestique…bronze-silver
with dark gray highlight coloring finished with lacquer. The finish
is specially designed to suit that perfect romantic haven in your
The Baroque Bed
The Baroque bed, as its name implies is very florid and ornate.
The posts are monstrous -especially since they’re topped with
massive cast finials and sturdy feet. The headboard grill is adorned
with a large center casting and supported by 60” high posts. The
footboard – supported by 36” posts, is a concave design that dips in
the center. There are also large sloping side rails that are as
fancifully decorated as the grills. Even the Gilded Slate finish is
elaborate – it is a black base, with a hand-applied coat of mottled
translucent white paint – which gives it a bluish hue, highlighted
with gleaming gold. This bed is certainly a statement piece and will
need a large room to contain it.
The Belair Bed
Add texture to your space with the contemporary design of the
Belair Platform Bed. The rich tones of the Belair’s espresso stain
complement a variety of contemporary styles and colors. And the
clean-cut, horizontal lines add dimension, allowing the wall color
behind to show through. Easily update your style with the modern
design elements of the Belair Platform Bed. It is available in twin,
full, queen, king, and Cal king.
The Chester Bed
The Chester bed is an ornate design that looks like a gate. From
the arches casted to the spindles, to the winding wire supporting
the ribbed, rolling-pin style top rail, these grills would look at
home in a garden. Even the finish has an earthy feel to it. It is
called Crème Brulee, an off-white base highlighted with brown tones
and scattered with crackled patches. This bed would work beautifully
with many distressed light-wood pieces.
The Dunhill Bed
A standout among mixed media beds. Transitional styling in a
sleigh design that will complement almost any décor. This bed offers
class and sophistication for the formal bedroom but also warmth and
serenity for a more casual atmosphere. Comfort and beauty surround
you when you introduce this bed to your current lifestyle. The rich
Honey Oak finished wood and soft Autumn Brown swirling scrolls are a
perfect blend of light and dark, soft and dramatic. A charming,
romantic addition to a master bedroom or guest room.
The Heritage Bed
Make a statement with the shiny Black Sapphire finish, oversized
round finials, and traditional lines of the Heritage bed. This bed
really captures a person’s attention with a dramatic headboard and
footboard consisting of tall posts and complementary spindles. The
grills are topped with small castings that enhance the overall look
of the bed. A horizontal rail interrupts the vertical lines to add
an interesting detail to the bed. Available in full, queen and king
and as a headboard only.
The Sanford Bed
The Matte Black finish present on the Sanford is its defining
characteristic to be sure. What other bed shows such a rich
distillation of the option of bed as focal point or bed as
background décor. The powder coat application marries texture to the
surface in a way that both mutes and plays with light. Notice how
the soft sheen of the finish takes a heavy steel frame and portrays
it as light in weight. The 10 castings locked in place on this bed
are intentionally finished in the same black powder coat to show
only their silhouette and accentuate their simple nature. The height
of the headboard rises to 52 and 1/8” while the posts on the
footboard are 31 and ¼” tall.
